Cynthia Ainsworthe-
This book is amazing starting from the bookcover to the very last page. The bookcover is one of the best I’ve seen. If it doesn’t tempt someone to read the contents within, nothing will.
There is hot romance among a loving couple who have been together a quarter of a century. This adds a wonderful ingredient to the story. It is nice to see a couple be so loving after being together for so long. This couple is stable with all the comforts that come from a an ambitious couple who get what they want out of life.
It is refreshing to get away from the “honeymoon” phase of a romance and read about the embers still burning in the desire fire.
Taylor, the wife, is an enormous fan of sexy singer Larry Davis. Paul, the husband, is supportive of his wife’s adoration and takes her to a concert. He has no reason to be jealous. He and Taylor are madly in love, have more than a healthy sex-life with a strong and binding commitment, with complete faith and trust in each other. Nothing could ever come between them, or could it?
During the concert, Taylor catches Larry’s eye and winds up backstage to meet him, with Paul in tow.
Before they know what happens, temptation both plagues and torments Taylor and Larry. Do the give in and betray the loving and trusting Paul?
I for one, do not like writing spoilers. It is up to the eye of the reader to find the answer to this question from the author’s words, not mine.

Unwritten Life, Amy Shannon

renee.robinson2

Amy Shannon
Alex has been trying to forget her past. The fact is, she runs from her past. Somehow, like a supernatural entity, her past follows and haunts her. It even finds her! How can this happen? She relocated and completely changed her life. Her habits, skills, employment even her entire identity has been changed!
It begins with her best friend appearing out of nowhere. He is a constant reminder of what she has tried to erase from her memories. who she was and what she did.
This story builds up and then makes your heart drop when Alex ends up with a stalker. As the reader, you want so much for Alex to overcome her past and find true happiness. Yet she finds herself in love, in danger and in turmoil.
I believe Amy Shannon can write with such chilling believability because of her own past experiences. I do not know any more than is written in her biography, this is strictly my opinion. I know from experience, an author’s best writings often come from knowledge of what they write.
I am anxious to read Amy’s entire library. She is a new author who should not be overlooked. Her words scream Attention!

Review: Captain Chemo by Renee Robinson

Captain Chemo is a cheerful poem to bring hope to kids who are battling cancer. With a simple chant “Out, cancer, out!” the author gives kids a tool to build up their confidence and strength. She encourages children to fight and to keep a positive attitude when going through chemotherapy. The coloring pages at the end of the book, with some cute and funny characters, are a great bonus.

Author Renee Robinson is a cancer warrior herself. The “Make a Wish Foundation” is granting her a wish and will make this book available for children at hospitals. What I find remarkable is that even though Ms. Robinson herself–and her family– are going through a tough time, she still has such a drive and passion for creating and helping others.

Let’s hope that this book gets to the hands of many young children who need a smile and who need someone to tell them, I understand you, keep fighting, you are going to be okay. That is the message and importance of this children’s book.

Attention Writers, Readers and Reviewers of Children’s Books

Nae’s Nest —  June 17, 2014 — Leave a comment

I invite you to join a group at Shelfari I called The Bunny Tale.

It is a group for those who read, write or read and write Children’s Books. Each member can place their books on the shelf.

The goal is to establish a nice online library for children’s books. The members of the group will be able to select books from the shell. Once they have read the book, it is asked they take time to review in both Amazon and Shelfari (other places to, if they choose)

Come and check The Bunny Tale out and get your books on the shelf. I will also be creating on one for poetry soon.

Thanks

Renee

Annoucing “Captain Chemo. Out Cancer, Out!” by Renee Robinson

Entrepreneurs have a history of making people feel better. Band aids, stethoscopes and x-rays have all been brought into existence by the determined and hardworking entrepreneurs  who breathed life into them. When faced with terminal cancer which pushed her out of the
job she’d grown to love for over a decade, Renee Robinson found her inner entrepreneur
and set out to work from her bedside to help  others understand how to deal with cancer.
Always a writer at heart, Renee began journaling her experience with cancer through poetry.  She hoped that her artistic interpretations of “scary” doctors’ visits, “poisonous” chemo injections and “delirious” visions of heaven and death would help to ease the discomfort for  other victims of cancer and explain the inner mysteries of the disease to their loved ones.  With a body riddled with sickness but a heart full of determination, she wrote and networked
between hospital visits for years, but it wasn’t until she began writing children’s books that she
 truly found her voice.
Inspired by a love for children and a desire to touch the grandchildren she would likely never  meet, she wrote her way into the Amazon Best Sellers Top 100 for Children’s Books. It was  then that her dad, a retired entrepreneur himself, rolled up his sleeves once more to help his  “little girl” achieve her goals. He cold called every media outlet number his old phonebook  listed, doing everything he knew how to get the word out about her books which were  growing in popularity on the internet. After a finger numbing number of dials, it dawned  on him where they should focus her products. She’d originally grown to poetically explain the  process of battling cancer and now she’d learned to create enchanting short stories for children – it was time
 to blend the two!
He immediately pitched the idea to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. They expressed interest and
later that night “Captain Chemo” was born. Renee is now vivaciously writing short stories for  children
 battling illnesses.
She hopes that super heroes like Captain Chemo will bring hope and healing to the children and their
 families.
Whether it’s a band-aid or a super hero in a children’s book, the creations of entrepreneurs  exist to benefit and inspire those around them. We all have a chance to breathe life into our  ideas. In the case of Renee, she may have a few less breaths than the rest of us, but she’s  certainly
got a lot of life left to live and many children left to heal.

Captain Chemo! Out Cancer, Out!

Captain Chemo! Out Cancer, Out!

Captain Chemo ranks 7 out of top 100 in sales!

My newest children’s series is dedicated to the children who fight in the Cancer Wars. These small faces and frail bodies should never have to face anything but sunshine and laughter. Yet they too, are non-exempt from the horrors of cancer. Ironically, these little ones are the true heroes within in ranks. They tend to not question why, they simply accept.

Check out Captain Chemo and friends by reading the first book in the series:

Captain Chemo. Available in eBook only, paperback will be released any moment.
